Kate Adams- Managing Director

be able to steer my setting in creating an environment where children
are given opportunities and are facilitated by my staff to learn new
skills – and I get to laugh every day!”
Kate holds overall responsibility for the setting and is responsible for all financial aspects of the setting, staff training and development of the setting. Kate ensures the business is up to date with childcare initiatives and working best practices, which are then incorporated into our setting to always maintain and uphold high standards. She holds a BA (hons) in Early Childhood Development and is passionate, equally dedicated and committed to providing high quality childcare and early education.
Lucy- Assistant Manager Level 3
Lucy joined our Play Den family in 2025 and works alongside Kate. Her role is to ensure the smooth running of the nursery day to day. As our SENDCo, she also supports our staff and children who are developing differently from their peers and who may be following alternative curriculums.

Level 3 Early Years Educator
Sarah joined us in June 2018 having started her early years career as a parent-helper. Lively and bubbly, Sarah leads our under 3 room, ensuring the children are given wonderful hands-on learning experiences that are challenging yet achievable.

Karen – Room Manager Level 3 Early Years Educator
Karen joined us in 2023, having spent 10 years working as a local childminder. A mother herself, Karen works in our pre-school room, ensuring our older children are offered fun and engaging opportunities and are well prepared for the next chapter in their learning journey. Kind and caring, Karen is a highly respected member of our staff team.

Tessy – Room Manager Level 3 Early Years Educator
Tessy joined us in June 2021 having completed her student placement with us. She is a calm, incredibly caring, nurturing and consistent member of our team and works with our babies. She plans meaningful experiences for our youngest of children, whilst ensuring high standards of care.

Josh – Childcare Assistant – working towards Level 3
Josh has worked for the Nursery since 2016 working after school/college and during holidays. He currently works in our pre-school room, where he is exceptionally popular with all the children, parents and our staff Team. It is wonderful for the setting to have a positive male role model on our staff team.

Chloe G – Level 3 Early Years Educator
Chloe joined us in 2024 and quickly gained her Level 2 and Level 3 childcare qualifications. She is enthusiastic and lively and the children particularly enjoy her story-telling and her singing & dancing! She works in our ‘Walkers and Talkers’ room.

Suzie – Level 2 Nursery Assistant – working towards Level 3
Suzie joined us in 2024 and works in our pre-school room. A mother herself, Suzie is bubbly and outgoing and she strives to ensure the children reach their development milestones.

Charlotte – Level 2 Nursery Assistant
Charlotte started work at The Play Den early in 2024. As a mother of two, Charlotte is calm, caring and consistent. She works with our Walker and Talkers ensuring activities are well planned and really gets to know her key children well.

Jane joined us in March 2026 as a highly qualified baby room leader with 20+ years of childcare experience. Jane and works in our Baby Room, covering the days when Tessy and Faizah are off. She is kind and caring and works with Tessy to ensure our youngest of children receive high standards of care and enjoy a range of age-appropriate activities.

Chloe joined us in June 2025 and is currently studying for a Level 2 Early Years Qualification.
